This apology concerning the Nov 15^th concert was printed in the Westmoreland Gazette on Nov 20^th and appeared as an item on the Radio 4 ‘News Quiz’ on Friday Dec 5^th 2014.

‘The Westmoreland Gazette apologises to the Haffner Orchestra and Lancaster Singers for the wrong advert placed in last week’s paper. There were a number of errors, including the date of the concert, the soloist and the works being performed. These errors were not the fault of the orchestra or choir. We apologise unreservedly, and hope that the concert was a success in spite of these problems.’
